Clovelly Visitor Centre

It is here that visitors start their unique experience of the private Clovelly estate. Modelled on a traditional Devon long barn, the award-winning Visitor Centre houses a cafe and souvenir shops so that the  village remains uncommercialised.

To make the most of your visit, start with the audio visual film (20 mins) which tells the fascinating story of Clovelly and features interviews with current residents.   Visitors keep telling us that seeing the audio-visual film at the Visitor Centre added hugely to their enjoyment of Clovelly.
There is an entrance fee payable to the village that covers not only admission to the audio-visual programme and two museums but also your parking. A substantial part of the fee contributes to the ongoing maintenance programme at Clovelly which, by ensuring that slate is replaced with slate, and oak with oak, the village retains its original charm and magic.

Admission charges from 1st April 2012 until 31st March 2013 now include admission to Clovelly Court Gardens too:

Adult:    £6.50
Child:    £4.00   (7-16)
Family: £17.00 (2 adults, 2 children)

- Under 7s go free

Clovelly Village Tours
A guide is available Sundays to Thursdays to take visitors on a general tour of the village.  The 90" tours start at 10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm and 2:30 pm from the top of the cobbles.  Charges:  £2.50 per adult; under 12s free.  Special interest tours for groups are also available.  To book, please call head guide, Jana Edwards on 07974 134701 or email info@clovellyvillagetours.co.uk

One of the delights that Clovelly offers visitors is that of being a traffic-free village, which helps to maintain its tranquillity and peaceful way of life. With no vehicles allowed in the High Street, visitors park at the top of the hill adjacent to the Visitor Centre and enter the top of the village by walking down the cobbled streets.

For those who cannot manage the steep village street, a fare paying Land Rover service operates from Easter to the end of October, ferrying passengers from the harbour to the top of the cobbled street or the Visitor Centre by a steep back road.
We offer group organisers:

* Vouchers to be redeemed against food and drink at the Visitor Centre
* Free parking in a designated area for coaches by the Visitor Centre
* Big discount on entrance fee for groups of 20+, including entry to village, audio
visual, two museums and Clovelly Court Gardens. The 2012 admittance charge (from 1st April) for
   parties of 20+ is just £5.50 per A. and £3.75 per C. (7-16).
Twin destination rate for Clovelly and nearby Hartland Abbey:  £12.50.
