150th Anniversary of Lifeboat Station
Saturday, 20th June 2020
Clovelly Lifeboat Station is holding a celebration of its 150th year in service in 2020.
The first event held will be the Yellow Welly Cobble Wobble race, on Sunday 24th May at 9.30. Come along to run or to cheer people on!
The weekend of celebrations will then start on Friday 19th June with an invitation only to a formal dinner. There will be live music, crew members past and present and a display of model lifeboats.
This display will then be moved to the Kingsley Museum for everyone to enjoy when the main event takes place on Saturday 20th June.
There will be displays from Clovelly Lifeboat as well as local Coastguard and helicopter displays (pending no call outs for them on the same day).
A selection of old lifeboats that served at the Clovelly Station will also be in the harbour. There will be music, entertainment, 150th celebration mementos to buy, and an extravaganza of things to see and do.
The event will wind down on 21st June with a family barbeque day for the crew of the Clovelly Lifeboat.
