The Snug and Harbour Bar looks across the harbour and bay. Lilly James is one of many famous actors that film and visit the village annually. She is photographed here filming in the Snug on the set of The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society.
The bars are fully refurbished with the nautical theme that runs across all aspects of the Red Lion with tables and benches outside and around the harbour for you to sit on to soak up the ambience and history.
Locally sourced food is served, using the lovely fresh seafood that the villages fishermen bring to the kitchen daily. The village fishermen always fish on a sustainable basis and work with the Devon and Cornwall lobster hatchery. Each year there are 1000’s of baby lobsters, from the hatchery, released into the waters just off Clovelly. They are tracked, so consequently, the fishing quotas are always managed on a sustainable basis.
The Snug Bar
It is the smaller of the two bars as its name suggests. Mingle with villagers, listen to their stories, try a drop of Clovelly cobbler or local cider, and order from our modern evening bar menu.
The Harbour Bar
It is the day-time hub of the quay with an exciting choice of ales & ciders and delicious food. There are tables outside for you to sit on the quay and soak up the ambience and history.
