The Red Lion Bars
Bars at The Red Lion, lost in time itself.
Red Lion Bars have solid stone floors, beams, wood fire and of course many local villagers. The walls are festooned with pictures of village characters long gone, yet from across the ages. They look out across the bar, welcoming you. However make sure you don’t pinch their seat!
If the bars could only talk! tails of daily activities, wars losses and of course stories of the families. Some of these same families are in residence today and their children’s children now tell their stories and entertain each other with their antics.
You can still have a cider, a pint of real ale or a shot. However these days you can also order delicious food with influences from around the world. Food is available both at lunch and dinner time and offers a lovely alternative to the Harbour restaurant.
The Snug Bar
It is the smaller of the two bars as its name suggests. Mingle with villagers, listen to their stories, try a drop of Clovelly cobbler, or local cider. You can order from our modern evening bar menu.
The Harbour Bar
is the daytime hub of the Quay with a wide and exciting choice of real ales and ciders. We serve fresh sandwiches, fresh seafood, dressed crab along with many other locally sourced food. There are tables both inside and outside on the quay so you can soak up the ambience and history of this wonderful place.
