Visiting Yachts

Welcome to Clovelly

Visiting yachts are always welcome in Clovelly Harbour. Seafarers have for centuries used the harbour for shelter and re-stocking supplies. However these days we offer lots more including shopping, bars and restaurants for visitors to make the most of.

Water, electricity and showers are available. Perhaps more importantly, you’ll find that the hospitality at the Red Lion is barely a boat’s length away! Here you can enjoy breakfasts, freshly prepared bar meals and local ales & ciders. Enjoy delicious fine dining (including fresh seafood) cooked for you by our chefs in the Harbour Restaurant. All this to be enjoyed in the wonderful setting of Clovelly’s ancient working harbour. There are also links to the local bus routes and taxis should you wish to explore a little further afield.

Harbour Chartlet

The chartlet is not to scale, but it is sufficient to guide you safely into a berth alongside the inner wall of the breakwater. At low tide the harbour dries, leaving your vessel to settle on a firm, sandy bottom.

A new port is always an exciting addition to a ship’s log and, judging by the comments of other visiting yachtsmen, you are certain to be delighted with your visit.

There is a harbour charge per night, irrespective of length, and for use of the showers and electricity.
