Food & Drink

Food & Drink at Clovelly isn’t so much about the food miles as food feet! We pride ourselves on sourcing our food, both locally and sustainably, subject to time of year and sometimes weather conditions: Fish and crustaceans from our local waters; game from Clovelly Estate; fruit and vegetables from Clovelly Court Gardens, grown to organic principles.  And we even use our own apples to make a breakfast juice.

Breakfasts are designed for our wide reaching visitors. So we have a selection of European and Devon dishes that even incorporate “Heal Tappers”, a Devon speciality of potatoes sautéed in bacon dripping!

Lunches tend to be almost as popular as snacks. Lunches encapsulate the special location of Clovelly with fresh crab sandwiches, lovely homemade cod fingers and so much more.

Dinners are more special in the Red Lion Harbour Restaurant or you can just have a delicious bar dinner; its really your choice. The choices are also widespread with three choices within the village each evening. Hence the Down-along pub at the New Inn, and the Snug bar and lovely Harbour restaurant at the Red Lion.
