Hamlyn’s

Welcome to a different world…

Hamlyn's

Hamlyn’s in the New Inn is the breakfast room for residents at the Inn and Hamlyn’s Hostel opposite.  This magnificently beam-hung room features a portrait of Christine Hamlyn in her wedding dress and is a highly satisfying experience.

It can also be booked for private parties for lunches, dinners and its famous Devon Cream Teas. The previous New Inn dates back to the 16th Century when it was on the other side of the street, where today Hamlyn’s Hostel now resides. This is for walkers with budget accommodation. Some of the bedrooms are ensuite whilst others share facilities, however the rates are conducive with this.

Please contact Hayley or Bea to book a room. Tel: 01237 431303. Email: newinn@clovelly.co.uk.

Clovelly Christmas Lights – Sunday 3rd December

The Christmas lights turn on is a magical time in Clovelly. Starting at 4 pm in the afternoon, a local brass band leads the procession down to the harbour, with festive Christmas carols sung along the way.

There’ll be a hog roast, hot dogs, Christmas grog and other refreshments available at the Harbour and Lifeboat Station. Then, Father Christmas will make a surprise visit!

Entrance fee:  £10 per car at the Visitor Centre after 2 pm. All proceeds will go to the R.N.L.I.
