Judging for the 2019 RHS South West Britain in Bloom competition.
The weather was glorious, the village looked splendid and the judges seemed to be very pleased with what they saw.
We won’t know the results until the award ceremony in October, but our fingers are firmly crossed.
Judges visited the Court Gardens first, then to the VC to see the Yarn bomb and complimentary planting.
Then on into the village, where they were shown the wildlife/conservation area (and its fabulous new sign!) as well as looking in one of the village gardens, which gives such a unique view of the steep village and the difficulties some residents face.
After stopping at the museum, we then carried on down to the harbour and the new Lime Kiln Potager, where judges met local children to discuss their gardening.
All in all a fabulous day, celebrating the achievements of the entire village. Here’s hoping the judges thought so too!
